1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They let a site remember information about your visit — such as your preferences, whether you've seen this notice before, or how you navigated the site — so that later visits are faster and more useful. "Similar technologies" here includes things like browser local storage, which we also use to remember your cookie choices across visits.

Cookies are not, by themselves, able to run programs or deliver viruses to your device. Some cookies are set by us directly ("first-party cookies"); others are set by services we use, such as Google Analytics ("third-party cookies").

2. Legal Basis & How Consent Works

Under the DPDP Act, we may only process your personal data — including data collected through non-essential cookies — where you have given free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous consent, or where another lawful ground applies (such as a "certain legitimate use" recognised by the Act, e.g. keeping the site secure). Strictly necessary cookies fall into the latter category and do not require consent because the site cannot function without them. Every other category below is switched off by default and only activates once you affirmatively say yes.

When you first visit, a banner asks you to Accept All, Reject All, or Customise your choice by category — all three options are equally easy to select. Nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies loads before you make a choice. We record your choice as a timestamped consent receipt (an opaque, randomly generated ID — never your IP address or a device fingerprint) so we can demonstrate, if asked, what you consented to and when.

Where Google Analytics is used, we implement Google Consent Mode v2: analytics and advertising signals default to "denied" the moment the page loads, and are only switched to "granted" after you accept the relevant category.

3. The Cookies We Use

We group cookies into five categories. You can turn each optional category on or off independently at any time from Cookie Settings in the site footer.

4. How Long We Keep Cookies

Individual cookie expiries are listed in the table above. Separately, the record of your consent choice itself is kept for 180days. After that, or the moment we publish a materially updated version of this policy — whichever comes first — your stored choice is treated as expired and you'll be asked again. Consent receipts kept for audit purposes (the history of what you chose and when) are retained only as long as needed to demonstrate compliance and are not linked to an IP address or any other identifier capable of singling out an anonymous visitor.

We will update this table before enabling any additional third-party tool that sets cookies (for example, advertising pixels, session-recording, or chat widgets), and that new category will remain off by default until you consent to it.

6. Withdrawing Consent

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time — it is exactly as easy as giving it. Click Cookie Settings in the footer of any page to reopen your preferences, then choose Reject All to withdraw every optional category in one click, or toggle individual categories off and select Save My Preferences. Withdrawal takes effect immediately: any related cookies already on your device will no longer be renewed, and no further non-essential data collection will occur under that category.

Because some cookies (like Google Analytics' own cookies) are set directly by your browser, you may also want to clear them manually — see Section 8.

7. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act

As a Data Principal under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

• Obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is being processed;
• Request correction, completion, or updating of your personal data;
• Request erasure of your personal data that is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected;
• Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it (see Section 6);
• Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity; and
• Lodge a grievance with us, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Grievance Officer using the details in Section 10. We will respond within the timeframe required by the DPDP Act and its rules. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to the Data Protection Board of India, the regulator established under the DPDP Act to hear such grievances.

8. Managing Cookies In Your Browser

Beyond the controls on this site, most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies at the browser level, and you can set your browser to alert you when a cookie is being set. Because blocking all cookies (including strictly necessary ones) may prevent parts of this site from working correctly, we recommend using our on-site Cookie Settings first. Browser-level controls are typically found under:

• Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

9. Changes To This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time — for example, when we add a new tool that sets cookies, or when the law changes. Each version carries a policy version number, shown at the top of this page. When we make a material change, we bump that version number, which automatically treats any consent you previously gave as no longer current and re-prompts you the next time you visit — this is how a policy update legally re-triggers consent under the DPDP Act. Minor, non-material edits (fixing a typo, clarifying wording) do not trigger a re-prompt.
